Mahindra Thar Roxx Gets Updated with New Features in India; Check Details Here
Mahindra has revamped the Thar Roxx's interior with a new Mocha Grey theme, replacing the earlier Ivory White colour scheme found in both 4X2 and 4X4 versions.

Mahindra has refined the popular Thar Roxx with several new features. The SUV now comes equipped with aerodynamic flat wipers to minimise cabin noise, request sensors for keyless entry, and a sliding co-driver armrest for added comfort. Additionally, the carmaker has revamped the interior with a new Mocha Grey theme, replacing the previous Ivory White colour scheme found in both 4X2 and 4X4 versions.
Despite these upgrades, the 5-door version of the Mahindra Thar retains its price range, starting at Rs 12.99 lakh for the base-spec model and going up to Rs 23.09 lakh for the top-of-the-line variant. Both prices are ex-showroom figures. The SUV is available in six trims—MX1, MX3, MX5, AX3 L, AX5 L, and AX7 L – offered in both 2WD and 4WD configurations, appealing to a diverse range of buyers.
Mahindra Thar Roxx: Engine Specs
The latest Thar comes in six variants: MX1, MX3, MX5, AX3L, AX5L, and AX7L. It is available with two engine choices – a 2.0-litre mStallion turbo petrol and a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel.

For transmission, buyers can opt for either a six-speed manual or a six-speed torque converter automatic. While the petrol models are exclusively rear-wheel drive, the diesel variants offer an optional 4x4 system, featuring a low-range transfer case for enhanced off-road capability.
Mahindra Thar Roxx: Feature Suite
Feature-wise, the car comes with ventilated seats upholstered in leatherette, a fully digital instrument cluster, a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a premium nine-speaker Harman Kardon audio setup, a panoramic sunroof, rear AC vents, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a six-way power-adjustable driver’s seat.
Coming to the safety aspect, the Thar 5-door is equipped with six airbags, three-point seatbelts for all occupants, hill ascent and descent control, electronic stability control (ESC), and a seatbelt reminder. Additionally, the ADAS package enhances safety with features such as autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, and a 360-degree surround view system with a blind view monitor.

The Thar 5-door directly rivals the Force Gurkha 5-door and Maruti Suzuki Jimny. In terms of pricing, it also competes with SUVs such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara.
